Our cooker, “Mamejiro Double-Cooker Type” was installed in the mass-production line of “Shima Tofu”, a traditional food in Okinawa. “Shima Tofu” is harder than general firm tofu and rich in nutrients. It has a slightly salty taste. Shops sell “Shima Tofu” hot and fresh from the cooker, but it has been reviewed with the times in terms of hygiene. However, “Shima Tofu” remains popular as the signature food of Okinawa and is still an important part of Okinawa’s food culture. Please try delicious “Shima Tofu” if you have a chance.
